Everytime I click on a tool the settings window of that tool keeps appearing. How do I turn this off? It's really annoying.
Can anyone help me?

Hi! You single or double-clicking those tool icons? Double-clicking causes the properties windows for that tool to display. 
Unless something in your system is causing your left mouse button to auto-doubleclick, in that case that's a problem. ^^'
