Hey there,

My problem is that when I load inkscape, the entire application shows up, and looks fine, but when I try to do any editing to the canvas nothing happens. I can open a file and it will load into the canvas but I still cannot edit it.

I've tried everything from reinstall to restart. I also noticed that I have the same problem with gimp.

Any suggestions?
