Saving JPEG/GIF to .SVG to use with SignCutPro

Postby wesdog » Thu May 10, 2012 9:01 am

Hello all I am new to Inkscape so please be patient with me. I have recently entered the vinyl cutting field and have figured out the basics so far but am having trouble with downloaded JPEG/GIF/PNG files. I can open them fine in Inkscape but when I go to save them to use in my cutting software is where I have problems. I choose to save as .SVG and it saves it and all and I can even open the SVG file in a browser window. But when I try to open in my signcut Pro software nothing shows up. Am I doing something wrong here?

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

I recently learned about some tips for using Inkscape with Sign Cut. Here's a topic which contains all the info. Be sure to follow the links, because it's not all spelled out in the topic. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=11849
