Letter Form Composition

Postby RawDecor » Tue Oct 07, 2014 9:39 am

Hello Inkscape Community, I have a question. :?:
I am very new to Inkscape and have much to learn.

How would I make a project in Inkscape that looks like this?
http://bit.do/lfcl
It is a composition of letter fonts. Except they are blown up to show negative and positive space. The identity of the letter(s) is still there, just the shape of the letter(s) itself is ambiguous.

I thought it looked really neat, but I cant seem to obtain the 1/2" borders between letters and each square is 2" x 2".

**TL;DR:Hi I'm new, how would I replicate this in inkscape? --> http://bit.do/lfcl

I'd use square clipping objects on each letter, aligned using a grid with 1/2" spacing.

Grids and clipping are in the manual, linked below. :)
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
