Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a Bamboo MTE450 for use with Inkscape, but I seem to recall reading something a month or two back about Inkscape and Wacom tablets not getting along. Is this accurate? I'm running OSX, in case it makes a difference.

If it doesn't work, can anyone suggest any similarly priced alternatives ($40-75)?

There were definite issues on windows, but i think the latest versions have them fixed. Dont know about how well OS X supports tablets in inkscape.

By "latest version" I believe Simarilius means the development versions, not 0.46.

i have the medium pen and touch bamboo graphic tablet,i downloaded inkscape but i can only draw and do things with my mouse my pen wont draw anything can someone please tell me why?

First try this:
Inkscape Preferences > Mouse > and check the appropriate boxes.
After that, please search the forum. There are some long and detailed threads with lots of good info about using a tablet with Inkscape. It seems to be problematic, but not doubt has improved since this topic was started (over 2 years ago, lol).
