PDF+Latex spanning columns like begin{figure*}

Postby user_bean » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:44 am

Hi, I'm trying to use PDF+Latex files generated by Inkscape in an IEEE 2 column paper, and I want the figure to span both columns.
Usually, I would just use \begin{figure*} (i.e., with the asterisk). How do I do the same with the PDF+Latex?

I hope this was the right place to ask. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, this was a silly question. I'm still supposed to be using \begin{figure*}, and it all works the same. Any moderator, feel free to delete this thread.

Welcome user_bean!
Glad you got it "figured" out! (pun intended Image)

No worries. We'll leave it in place, because someone else might have the same problem, and be able to find the answer here 8-)
