Hi all,

I've just tried to install Inkscape on my mac (OS Tiger) and seem to have a few problems.

I installed the application and realised that I needed X11 so installed this from my tiger install disk.

Now when I try to open Inkscape, X11 opens and I see the inkscape icon briefly in the dock and then it disappears.

What am I doing wrong?

Try searching this forum for "Mac" or "Mac X11" and you might find some answers... maybe this topic?

I followed all the instruction on that thread and then searched and tried everything to no avail.

Just wanted to let people know that I found installation instructions on the Wiki which suggested updating the version of X11 to the latest on the apple website. Since doing this Inkscape has worked perfectly!
