Orientation of path markings

Postby Alpha Zen » Fri Dec 02, 2011 6:26 pm

Is there a way to change the orientation of the path markings (like SquareM etc.)?

I have to rework an excel diagram and because of the lack of the original data I can't rebuild it in excel itself.
See my problem:

The orientation of the square markings follows the curving of the path, but I'd like to have the markings staying without any rotation. Is this possible? Or am I forced to create small squares and place them at every location of the path's nodes?

Well, yes, in the time I searched for a solution, I already could have done so. :D But it would be nice to know for the future.

I don't know of any gui-based way to do this, but if you don't mind opening up the Edit > XML Editor window, you can expand svg:defs, and then select the svg:marker that you are using. Then change the attribute labeled orient from auto to 0.
