I designed my first logo in inkscape and now that it looks great and has been approved by the client, I need to put it in a brochure where it is white (the prototype was black).
The logo consists of two lines of text and an arrow, and I am really having the worst time trying to figure out how to change it. It doesn't help that I have been using the programme for a grand total of two days, but I figured such a thing would be intuitive.
The main problem is that the line on the arrow changes when I change the stroke, but the arrowhead does not change colour. I tried selecting it and painting, but it looks messy.
On the original document, I can change everything (except that darned arrowhead), but I don't like working that way. Usually what I would do is to copy/paste it into a new document and work on it there (so as not to inadvertently change my original), but every time I do that it groups the objects together never to be ungrouped again. Also, if I take my white logo and paste it in a new document, it turns black again. So the only possible solution (arrowhead excepted) has been to delete everything else in the original document and save it with a new name. Clearly I am missing something.
I am sure there is a simple solution that I am missing in my inexperience! And advice would be much appreciated!
Colour changes
Re: Colour changes
Hi.
There is an extension under modify path that can change the arrow's colour to the stroke's colour.

Thanks Lazur URH. I see that I need a "fantastic lxml wrapper" for that. I downloaded it from the site and dragged it to my applications folder, but must confess that I have no idea what to do with it now, having never installed something that didn't come with an installation dialogue box. Is it normal to have to install things like this? At first I thought it might be malware...
Re: Colour changes
It's more of a mac os x related problem, other extensions need that too.
