How To Create Curved / Distorted Lines

:D Is am new to using these tools, and I want to find a way to draw this whale tail better (more accurately than using the calligraphy tool):

The Calligraphy tool can be made much more controllable than in its default configuration. Check the manual (Help menu > Inkscape manual). I suggest giving it a Mass of 10 or more.

Although honestly, the Pen/Bezier will probably be more appropriate, depending on your goal, which we don't know much about.
