View mode in Inkscape

Postby Ooker » Wed Nov 19, 2014 2:54 pm

Hi everyone, I have an idea: add a view mode in Inkscape. That means with one click, you will hide all menus and panels; another click, everything appears again. Easy come, easy go.

This has some advantages:
  • Load time of Inkscape and Inkview are not so different.
  • Inkview is lack of feature. Especially zooming.
  • Easy to modify the svg, instead of viewing it in Inkview or in browers.
  • Personally, I would like to have a separate app to view it, rather than implement it into browsers.

What do you think?

My idea would be adding a viewmode where gradients are rendered flat without interpolation between colour steps, so that one can better match two gradient's steps together with the dropper tool.

...Facepalm?

I didn't know...
And It's not so obvious. I don't see any button or any option in the menu anyway. And other thing is that the page doesn't zoom to show in all the height of the screen.

Thanks
