Rounded Corners of Triangle
Rounded Corners of Triangle
Can anyone please explain to me how to round the corners of a triangle ?
Re: Rounded Corners of Triangle
There are probably several ways to do it, and I'd say it depends on exactly how you'll be using the triangle, as to which method works for you.
One way (and probably the simplest way) would be to use a Stroke, and in the Stroke Style dialog, right under Width, select the rounded corner.
If that's not going to work for you, please share with us how you'll be using the triangle. Then someone can give you better guidance.
Also you might try searching the forums; I seem Ato recall someone giving detailed instructions on rounding corners, although I can't remember for sure if it was on a triangle.

Re: Rounded Corners of Triangle
If using a round join stroke doesn't give you the control you need you can draw the triangle using the Star tool
with options: Regular polygon; Corners 3; Rounded - play with that field to get the result you want.

just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt

Re: Rounded Corners of Triangle
Convert your triangle to a path and then use dynamic offset. Drag the little white grip outward to make the triangle bigger.

Re: Rounded Corners of Triangle
I do it brynn's way - use a large stroke with rounded corners, then stroke to path, break-apart, then union. (I changed the fill to red and the stroke to 1 px black after the stroke-to-path command for clarity... it will have the same fill colour as the stroke originally was and no stroke after stroke-to-path)
