Bezier curves

Postby centurian » Sun Apr 05, 2015 11:42 pm

I've got an oblong box measuring 4" long by 1/2" wide and I want to convert it to curves on the top and bottom and at the right hand side end. So I've got something that resembles a feather with the left hand side as a flat edge.

How can I do that using the Bezier tool.

Thanks.

Is the object already a path? Or is it a rounded corner rectanagle shape? Or is it an imported raster image? If it's imported raster, it will need to be converted to vector, before you can do this.

I can't quite imagine what you're describing. Can you show us the object, either in the SVG file, or a screenshot? And from there describe what you want to do?

I'm not sure if you can use the Bezier tool, until we have a little more info. But it sounds possible. Once we have some more info, we can explain how to do it :D

Me neither. Searched for the "oblong box", but it only brought to this.

Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
