opening file from external drive

Postby aviavi » Mon Aug 27, 2012 3:32 am

Hello.
I'm a newbie to Inkscape on Mac OS X, Mountain Lion.

When I try to open a document, or import something, the dialogue box does not show my external drive, or any folders on the external drive. Strange.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or what I need to do?
Thanks.

In the file dialog, click on 'File System' in the 'Places' list on the left, then double-click the folder 'Volumes' in the list in the middle, and you see all mounted partitions and external drives. Double-click the name of the mounted external drive to access the files on it.

Note: you can add any folder to 'Places' for quicker access by clicking on the '+ Add' button at the bottom of the 'Places' list.
