Hello! I'm trying to save an inkscape file as a pdf but the images are'nt being saved...loosing half the art in transition! Any ideas why? The front of the b card images tranferred 100 % but the back not...really confused as to why and how I can fix this...needs to go to print today!!! Tried to attach the svg and pdf files to show but appartently I cant - invalid file extension?

You can pack in a zip file your artwork and post here, or use dropbox, or similar services, and then share the link here.

Anyway, if you have images embedded in your svg, note if they are really embedded or just linked...

When exporting to pdf, there are other options that manage to convert filters to rasters, and/or attach images. Play with them... It's also better to have the pdf in the last version possible (1.5)

Besides of that, there are some bugs when exporting from inkscape to svg. I "remind" to hear something about strokes too thin (< 0.1 pixels) and things like that. So before exporting to pdf, export the features that may be triggering a bug to png, and embed them in your pdf! (a dirty solution).

Acemary, would you be able to share the files and tell us which Inkscape version you are using on what kind of operating system?

There are a few things that currently cause difficulties when trying to turn them into pdf, but listing them and asking you to search for them in your file yourself will probably take a lot longer than us just taking a look.

Convert JPG to PDF (or other image formats to PDF) You can convert images (jpeg, png, gif, bmp, jpg) to PDF files by using a PDF converter. Simply open the image with a viewer, click on Print and select the PDF printer to convert the image to PDF
