Linear gradient works fine, but what if you want to fade a color out, then in again?

My picture is a simple rectangle. The top is black, fading to white in the middle - no probs. However, I now want it to darken to black again at the bottom of the rectangle. Can this be done?

You can add a node to the gradient, to make three nodes. Make the ends black and the middle one white.
