Hi,
I'm using Inkscape 0.47 r22583 on Windows Vista. Even after filled the Import/Export information (servername, username and password) in Inkscape Prefereces dialog the File -> Import from Open Clipat Library doesn't show up in the menu.
How can I fix that. I didn't find any answer in the regular resources on the web.
TIA,
Eduardo
Missing Import from Openclipart menu item
Re: Missing Import from Openclipart menu item
Hi jucah,
Belated welcome
I can't really answer your question definitively, but hate to see questions go unanswered
I've run into several cases with Inkscape where instructions are given for features which have not actually been coded into the program. [Edit - also menu items which are coded in but which have no functionality as yet] I think there is a logical reason for these, among developers, although on the surface seem silly to me. Maybe that's the case with this menu item?
I don't have such an item in my File menu either (last stable 0.47). But when I click on Import, there's a dialog so that I could choose from where to import. One of the choices is My Network Places. (I'm on Windows XP and have no clue how it might work on other OSs) I don't know if this is the answer, and I also don't know how to get OpenClipart.org into My Network Places, if indeed it can be done at all. But this is my best guess.
And my reply will "bump" you message to the top, where hopefully someone who knows the answer, will see it and respond.

Re: Missing Import from Openclipart menu item
Import from OpenClipart Library is not available in Inkscape on Windows platforms.
