Runtime error

Postby koliberek » Mon Aug 27, 2007 9:34 pm

I downloaded latest build and I found a few interesting new functions and scripts. But when I tried them Inkscape gave me just message "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error" and disappeared. I suppose It needs some additional libraries for runtime. Do you know what version of C++ libraries it needs? I downloaded 6.0 but without effect :-(

Where did you get it from? the SVN builds should have everything they need with them.
What windows are you on etc?

http://www.inkscape.org -> Download -> Development versions -> Compiled Packages -> Windows
I know it is development version so it may lack of some libraries. I can download them, just have to know what should I download :-)

You shouldnt require anything beyond the contents of those archives to run those builds. I just downloaded the latest there and it seems to run fine here. Are you sure it downloaded/extracted fully? Is it on initial loading your having issues or with a specific feature?

I tried on another computer and all functions work correctly. Maybe it's problem on this particular computer (installing and uninstalling a lot of software makes a mess in Windows :-( ) So let's close this topic. :-)

EDIT:
Problem resolved - I discovered invalid PATH variable on my Windows. After setting correct value all functions work correctly...
