Suggestion for the next competition : "What you want and it's impossible or very hard to have."

I think this is a great theme.

The last entry is quite far back in time. Is it still considered to be useful, to make a new contest? My ideas would be either trees or music instruments.

The 32 node compo over at inkscape-forum.de was fun.

edit:
Just made a new one: http://kaioa.com/svg/cprof32b.svgz

Surprisingly it produces some interesting rendering errors with FF2. I could have fixed that easily (by moving two handles into the less bat-shit crazy coord space), but it's more interesting this way. ;)

32 node is a great idea for a comp :) Do you have a link? My German is good enough to find my way around the forum to find it myself.

The comps here stopped because the last one received zero entries and they are a little tedious to manage on my part (when there are entries :)). And since suggestions for themes have been almost non existent I suspect there still isn't a lot of interest.

Unfortunately some of the entries are already down. My favorite entry is gone as well... it was some very elegant flower by Coco or needcoffee (I think).

Maybe in order to increase the awareness for competitions this area could be moved to the show it off section. Think of it like this if you view the whole forum from an information perspective the competion area has been put at the least important section of the forum.

The themes could be based off of using a particular aspect of inkscape to create an artistic design. For example using tiled clones create a halftone piece. Or using stitch subpath create art work stitch artwork. With so many inky tutorials starting to show up take a tutorial and base a piece off it.
