So I'm trying to fit a "vair" (an heraldic fur) to a shield.
I have a "vair" that is way too large, so I want to somehow use the shield like a cookie cutter.
I tried all possible ways of cutting. All 8 of them. The only one that even responded was "combine", which obviously wasn't what I need at all.
Please, any help?
A bit annoying that I cannot attach SVG's in this forum, because that would obviously help to see where the problem lies... :'(
[solved] Trying to cut. Does not work.
Re: Trying to cut. Does not work.
You might want to look into clipping, which might be a better match for your "cookie cutter" plan.
I've taken a look at the admin settings, and I *think* I've managed to enable attachments for this part of the forum. That said, as this is a support question it should probably have been posted into the "Help with using Inkscape" section, which definitely does allow attachments. If you still can't add an attachment, I'll move the thread instead.

Re: Trying to cut. Does not work.
Thanks, I'll try that. And it's absolutely okay to move this thread to the right spot.
Sorry that I put it in the wrong forum.

Re: Trying to cut. Does not work.
As you can see, I've moved the thread. No need to apologise for putting it in the wrong forum, it's an easy mistake to make.

A little politeness goes a long way and makes this world a happier place!

Tested it, and yay! It worked like a charm! Thanks a lot for the assistance!
