SVG instead of Flash for iPhone?

Support for SVG by Apple would be awesome news, but I don't think we would be so lucky.

only came back to this post cos I was deleting spam, but just fyi my 3g iphone renders at least some svg correctly:

seems to render all the basics fine, didnt like a file i tried that had filters tho, but then thats true of browsers too :D
