New "LiveAlign" tool being developed

Postby druban » Tue Jul 09, 2013 9:21 am

Maestal was kind enough to pass on this link to me about Martin Owens working on a very nice on canvas alignment feature. I don't think he is a member of the forum so I don't know how to give him feedback and suggestions but it seems a pretty cool tool just as it is. It would really be great if it worked on nodes as well, maybe even more useful than objects, if you do a lot of nodework. Anyway if any of you should manage to contact Mr. Owens it would be nice to have a discussion in this forum about it.
Your mind is what you think it is.

Interesting idea!
It could make some geometrical constructions much faster.
Though that align to controlpoint/guide line drawn by hand option on the video is a bit beyond me. If the alignment is totally accurate, why applying it to a totally random point? Maybe if snapping was involved in the process it would solve that.
