for some reason when i use the pencil tool and i draw when i let go of the line it like fills it in and makes a pen like thing..how do i fix it??

Remove the Fill part of the object (all objects can have fill and stroke), Pencil is just a tool you use to draw the outline, and you can use if that object is only a line or filled in with color.
