Hello, sorry if I'm coming off raw here but I am really frustrated...
I think I like inkscape but honestly this software is not intuitive at all to me...
When I first installed the program I could pick a color and then draw in that color. Now when I pick a color it draws in black, unless I select a new one. This is because the pen is set to black because the controls to change what styles it is using are NOT OBVIOUS!!! HOW DO I JUST MAKE IT GO BACK TO NORMAL?!?!?
The 'fill' and 'stroke' are really frustrating, no matter how many times I right click and pick fill or stroke I still get circles with an old style...
There doesn't appear to be any 'style reset' anywhere so everything comes up in the 'last' unless you click the box in the upper right to try to change anything and it takes you to the 'all or nothing' page for the tool, i.e. have single settings or use the last, but there's no obvious place that contains the 'last' settings or WHAT SETTINGS ARE CURRENTLY BEING USED!!!
It's like no matter how many times I change it somewhere it comes back to haunt me again, it's like the styles are bound to every single tool and there are a trillion places that they hide...
How do I just go back to the normal F**KING PEN!?!?!? Do I really have to keep reinstalling? What am I missing? thanks!
inkscape line controls/styles
Re: inkscape line controls/styles
In Inkscape Preferences for each tool you can choose whether to draw in the last chosen style (this is probably what you want) or to always use the same style set there.
When set to last chosen style you can click on a color when no objects are selected and the next object you draw will be drawn in that color.

just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt
