[solved] Color Palette

i created a color palette that ends with the .gpl extension and put it in the share/palettes directory, but when I load inkscape i cannot see the palette does anyone have a possible explanation for why this would occur

I tested renaming an existing one and changing the name - it showed up ok on a reload.
Make sure you have the format correct eg.

GIMP Palette
Name: My color scheme
#
153 102 000 996600
etc etc

What editor did you use to edit it with. I used the Gimp to create the palette in the first place. AFAIK inkscape can use gimp palettes.

Edit nevermind. Palette names cannot have hyphen in the name I guess. Because once i changed that it showed up fine.
