Image exporting not correct size?

Postby tiffa_cakes » Tue Mar 20, 2018 10:17 am

This is really strange, inkscape used to show the correct size of my asset on my export bar, but now it's completely off. I'm not sure how to fix this, but I've dried uninstalling/reinstalling, restarting and closing the program.

See the continuation after Width and Height where it says "pixels at ___ dpi"? The Width and Height pixels depend on how many dots you want in an inch.

To see the correct numbers set the dpi to 96, which is the CSS pixel standard. (It used to be 90 in older Inkscape versions.)

Looks proper to me... are you intending to export at 72 dpi?

Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

The information on the top controls the Export area, which section of the drawing you want to export.

The information below it affects your targeted .png size and resolution. If you want to end up with an export of the size you set inside your document, make sure to use correct/intended dpi! (Usually 96 for pixels, 300 for print.)
