Hey Everybody,
I'm new to Inkscape and seem to be stuck on what appears to be a newbie issue

. I'm creating some logos for fun to learn Inkscape. This particular logo uses simple text. I'd like the exported bitmap of the logo to be displayed on a transparent bg. On the logo I created the interior spaces that do not belong to the letter, (such as the area bounded by the letter 'o' or the enclosed area in the letter 'e') are not transparent. I tried selecting these areas and creating masks, and clipping etc but I haven't had much success get the transparent bg to show in the bitmap. Any suggestions on the best way to to this?
I'm attaching an png of the logo . If you look at letters 'o' and 'e' you'll see what I'm talking about.
thanks,
dee
