Hi
I am currently working on a number of projects which require me to reuse the same fonts over and over. At present I am having to keep scrolling through the fonts but would like to create a group if possible so I can access them easily. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Font groups
Hi Alan,
if you're using Inkscape 0.91 or higher, the fonts you have recently used in your document are already in a list at the top of the Text+Font dialog and the text tool's font dropdown (which annoys the hell out of me, because when I want to browse for fonts, I'm always thrown back to the top of the list...).
Is this what you need?

Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

Re: Font groups
I'll have to check on that Moini. I was trying to use that feature the other day, and a font that I had just used was not at the top. I didn't look into it at the time, because I didn't have time. But there's a chance it might not work properly, everywhere. Although if it's working, sounds like a pretty good solution to me.
Depending on which kind of operating systems you're using, a font manager might be able to help. I can't remember which system, but I think Macs, have a setup which allows only certain fonts to show up in the Inkscape font menu. Although I have to say I don't remember many details. Likely I saw this info in this forum, so a good search might find it.
Otherwise we might be able to suggest certain workflow routines that can make this less tedious. What is your current workflow?

Re: Font groups
On my win machine with 0.92, the dropdown font list opens at the place of the selected text and the most-recent list is at the top... just hitting the Home key takes me to the top and most-recent list.
Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
