triangle shaped bezier with 3 clicks

Postby cabarete_cub » Sun Aug 25, 2013 4:01 am

Hello everybody

I have many triangles to draw and was wondering if there's a way to do it
with just one click for each vertex. What I currently do is draw one straight
segment, release, aim as good as I can at the end of the segment I just drawn, ...

Thanks in advance.

Hi.

Draw a triangle first.
Possibly by the pen tool as a closed path, with four clicks, or
by drawing a rectangle, converting it to a path (Shift+Ctrl+C), and deleting one of its nodes.
Then, you can duplicate this triangle by pressing Ctrl+D, and place each of the nodes to the right places with only three clicks.
Alternatively you can use the tiled clones panel or the spray tool.

4 clicks, of course, not 3. I tried to post mod with update, but it was too late.
I just hurriedly and wrongly assumed that if Pencil tool doesn't have this functionality (and mode)
where the end of the last segment automatically becomes the beginning of the
next one, Pen wouldn't have it either.

Thank you for your reply. It is a mess of a question despite me reading posting guidelines :)
