I've been running Inkscape on a Windows 7 PC. As recently as yesterday, it worked normally. Now all of a sudden, I'm getting a non-descript error message that looks like the attached image.
I tried un-installing and re-installing the program 3 times, with no resolution.
What could be causing this? I have made absolutely no changes to my system since the last time I successfully ran Inkscape.
Thanks for any assistance.

Re: Inkscape fails to start
If you start it from a command prompt, does it print any additional errors? Just open a command prompt and type "inkscape" and RETURN.

Re: Inkscape fails to start
I had the exact same issue today too, reinstalled a couple times too. Then, decided to search the forums and it said I should re-boot, guess what, re-bootingresolved the issue. Guess it's a typical glitch, thinking mine is due to not enough memory to run it. So, try re-booting, you might have to do a 'cold' reboot (where you power down totally, wait a few seconds, then start up again). hope that helps, worked for me.
edit - I'm also on win 7.
