Have just put Inksape on my Mac (Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard — Universal .dmg form http://inkscape.org/download/) but its not in English?

Have checked my system prefrences, and only have English selected as a option....so its not that!?

Please try this: File menu > Inkscape Preferences > Interface > Language (requires restart) > System default (or whatever language).

Sure, can do that no problem......just have to go and learn to read Greek first, but thanks for the input!

Oh ok, I see what you mean.

There's a button for iNkscape Preferences which is 2nd in from the right on the command bar (just below menu bar). Then Interface should be 4th from the bottom in the list on the left side of Inks Prefs. Then Language (requires restart) is the first option at the top (on the right side of Inks Prefs). Beside that is a dropdown menu with lots and lots of languages. "System default" is the first one, and what normally shows up as the default. I don't know how yours got changed.

Does that get you there?
