Peeling Paint
Peeling Paint
Could someone tell me how, or direct me to a tutorial that will tell me how tell me how to draw a "peeling paint" type effect?

Re: Peeling Paint
This topic shows how to do a piece of paper with the edges tuned up. That is similar.
Re: Peeling Paint
There's a pattern in the Fill and Stroke dialog called Old Paint. It looks more like blistered paint to me, but you might want to have a look anyway.

Re: Peeling Paint
I looked around some, but don't find a topic like Early mentions. You may have better luck searching the forums than I did?
I do know of a video tutorial at http://screencasters.heathenx.org/ for making paper with a turned up corner. I don't remember the exact title, but it walks you through making the paper with a turned up corner, and then putting a photo on the paper.
Also, you could check this list of tuts:

Also, look through the Inkscape Resources forum (this website). Ivan Louette has made lots and lots of special effects, including paint, although I don't know about peeling paint.

The easiest thing to do would be to import a pealing pant texture, unless you have a lot of time.

I agree (though I was the one who did the screencast of the upturned page corner).

Those textures are not allowed to be used in open source works... do you know of any other texture sources that allow completely open source?
