Is possible? (change the line style)

Postby lospo » Wed May 19, 2010 10:33 pm

I'm new to inkscape, with no graphic experience... please, be patient :P

Is possible to replicate the attached tutorial ?
The pdf was originally downloaded from drawplus forum.

I try, but i only change the normal line to a dot sequence...

Thanks

Your file doesn't appear to be attached. Perhaps you can provide a link to the forum where you found the tutorial.

Note that you shouldn't post files on sites unless you have copyright permission to do so.

It probably cannot be recreated exactly. However, something like it could be done using the Patern along path path effect.

here is what I would do:

1) create several (very) small rectangles, the same thickness as you want the line. copy them a couple of times
2) use the align and distribute dialogue to create a strait line with appropriate amounts of bumps from those rectangles
3) Do path -> Union to make the rectangles one object

5) draw the 'original paths'
6) use the pattern along path, with "repeated stretched" selected
