I can make a nice SVG using just text and some colors and it shows up fine: http://plagel.sytes.net/sparkleaning_im ... g_logo.svg.

BUT when I try and add some design and flare(like a couple of straight lines and some triangles) it comes out like this: http://plagel.sytes.net/sparkleaning_im ... kscape.svg

Any reasons why it could be doing this? Any help would be tremendous!!!!

The second SVG file uses flowed text. Inkscape's flowed text is non-standard, and won't show up in browsers. So you need to convert each piece of flowed text to ordinary text, which can be done with "Convert to Text" on the Text menu.
