White over black background

Postby jesusangel » Mon Nov 29, 2010 12:22 pm

Hi!

I want to draw a logo to plot it over white vinyl. The vinyl will be placed over a black background.

I have drawed the logo and inverted the colors with Filters->Color->Invert so it looks ok in inkscape.

But when I saved it as PDF, the colors change.

Could you please help me?

Thanks

I have attached the SVG and PDF files.

SVG filters are a raster operation, so when exporting to PDF, Inkscape can either drop the filters (preserving the vector nature of the drawing), or convert the drawing to a bitmap.

If you want white and black PDF export the way toy do it is to draw a large black rectangle behind your drawing, and fill the drawing white.

- of course when cutting the vinal, the cutter does not care about the colour of the vinal, just the outline.

Ok. Thank you very much for your answer.

I'll try what you said.
