Snapping a line to a grid basics?

Postby Mogs7 » Wed Dec 30, 2009 12:04 am

Hiya guys, did you have a lovely christmas? :D
I have a beginners question, do you know how to snap a drawn line to a grid, so the beginning of the line is right on a grid line?

I have 2 different size grids set up on my document, only 1 is turned on at a time.
I drew my line using the first grid, and would like to snap it accurately to the second grid which I will then print off.

Heres some pics:
my line on the 2nd grid:
Image can you see the beginning is in the middle of a box?
Here's what I'm trying to acheive; line passing through a grid corner:

Many thanks

Have you studied the chapter that discusses snapping in tavmjong's online book? see

http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... pping.html

That would be a good start, but if you still have questions after reading that then please come back to this forum; we will gladly help you out!
