Create tiled clone problem

Postby wuhu » Sun May 18, 2014 1:56 pm

Hi all,

I am quite new to inkscape, and I can't for the life of me figure this out :
In one inkscape file I am able to do this using the create tiled clone feature :

In another inkscape file, using the same settings I am not :

I get a weird problem where the clones are all offset for some reason ( Although there is no offset, the settings are the same as the previous file )
I have tried to make the gradients/fill/stroke/size ( The gradients are different in the examples I give but I have tried the same ) of the square and circle the same in both files to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi.

The tiled clones feature is confusing but having a look at the 'Official Manual' as it might give you some hint and tips.
Try to click the 'Reset' button in the dialog to clear all 'old' settings.
If the object position has been transformed the TC (Tiled Clones) will be affected.
The TC works on the 'bounding box' of the object to calculate positions.
