I want to combine three paths. An elipse, a path image, and its mirror. The desired effect should be that the black elipse and its combined parts should allow a preferred color to show through in the design created by the path and its mirror. The problem is, the original path achieves this whereas the horizontally flipped path does not. I tried this in reverse and something about flipping a path causes it not to combine in this way. The nodes are present, sure, but you cannot see through the design.

Maybe clipping is what you're looking for? just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt
