Hi,
I use Inkscape on a Mint 17 KDE platform (acer notebook)...
when I try to set guidelines, pulling them either from the horizontal or the vertical site ruler,...
the inkscape window either gets very small or I get some lines but those are no guidelines.
the lines I get are red and not editable.

when I click on create guide lines around the document (which does work ! ) I get this nice editable blue lines I can move/delete aso.

It might be a windows/linux issue but I can't find any solution to drag and drop some guide lines.
