Pencil
I gotta say, if you have a Wacom pad, it's *really* nice. Really close to drawing on paper.
It hasn't been too actively developed past few months though.
Anyone tried "Pencil"?

I hadn't but just downloaded it now.
It seems pretty practical. I'm not an animator so can't comment on those features.
I'm actually looking at a few drawing applications at the moment: Sketchbook Pro, OpenCanvas, Painter, ArtRage. Sketchbook Pro and Painter are out of my budget but are good to compare against. I think I might buy ArtRage since it's so cheap.
I think Pencil is a bit too sensetive--it picks up every slight viabration in my hand. Perhaps there is a setting to control that though.

Artrage is excellent, great for sketching with a tablet.
