I have an HP Touchsmart TM2 tablet-screen laptop with an additional monitor attached to extend the display. It is possible to use a stylus on the laptop's screen, but not on the additional monitor.
Whenever I use the stylus on an Inkscape window in the tablet/touchscreen area, it maps the location of the cursor all across both displays, such that the small rectangular part of the dual-monitor display that can receive pen input is stretched across both displays; consequently, to use the pen with Inkscape, I must either disconnect the extra monitor, (in which case I can use all of the single display) or confine my scribblings to a small section of the laptop screen in order for the cursor to not run off the Inkscape window.
This does not happen for any other program. I seem to recall it working properly before, but I restored my computer to factory state recently, and had to reinstall everything afresh.
Is there anything that can be done to get tablet-screens and dual-monitor displays working together, or is this something I must resign myself to working around?
