So I'm making a poster.
The thing is, there is a lot of stuff left outside of the page that I need to remove. That's where the problem begins.
I have many objects, and using the "Difference" function will only allow me to cut objects one by one.
Is there a faster way to do it?
Remove what's outside of page?
Re: Remove what's outside of page?
2 ways:
1) use a clip:
- group page contents
- make rectangle that is as big as page
- center on page
- make sure rectangle is on top
- select group and rectangle
- Object -> Clip -> Set
2) If a clip that does not 'remove' contents outside the page area, but only hides it, is not enough, but you really want to cut off everything in a vector way:
- install the extension from https://gitlab.com/su-v/inx-pathops , which can do multiple boolean operations all at once
- use it
- Extension install instructions can be found on the linked page (scroll down)

Re: Remove what's outside of page?
I prefer to save as pdf for most printing, so clipping or even a white rectangle/border to preset the margin works for me.
Easy to go back and edit objects.
(Make sure your page is set in the document properties.)

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
