Hi all,
I was wondering if there was any way of doing this kind of thing in Inkscape?

I have messed around with patterns a bit and don't think there is any way via pattern fill but I'm pretty new to Inkscape and vectoring so I could easily be wrong!
Pattern / tile fill technique
Re: Pattern / tile fill technique
Fell asleep twice!! watching that video and gave up. It was like watching paint dry, even at 2X speed. But the effect at the end seems reasonably easy to do with tiled clones (with a little randomness) and then the hatch fill LPE or the spray tool. These are documented here

Your mind is what you think it is.

Thanks for the reply Druban!
Yes, the tutorial is rather slow; I think he should have re-recorded it and streamlined it a bit!
I shall review the manual pages and see what I can do; likely I shall come back with specific questions.
