1) Keeping Colors Light & Bright; 2) Sharpening Images

Postby Missy » Sat Jul 24, 2010 8:46 am

I have created colorful images in Inkscape. In order to keep the images light and bright when printed (and included in a DVD), are filters the best way to go? Specifically, “Fluorescence” and/or “Lightness-Contrast”? I was also told, too, to lessen the DPI to 150 vs. 300 related to the DVD -- this will keep the colors light and bright. Is that correct? Are there any other tricks that I could employ to accomplish my book publishing and DVD goals? One other item. In order to sharpen up the images, do I simply filter again and hit “Sharpen” or “Sharpen More”?

Thank you in advance!

When you say, "included in a DVD", do you mean printed on a DVD sleave, or do you mean people will be viewing the image on a TV?
