Force all tonner colors over each other

Postby rbenea » Fri Nov 13, 2009 12:07 am

Hi all,

I want to print with my HP 2600 Color laser printer circuit boards that are made in a vectorized format. My problem is that the black tonner is not as black as I want to be. The image is printed on a transparent paper and exposed under UV light acting like a mask.

My question is: Can I make a drawing and force the printer to print with all the 4 colors / toners one over each other so that I'll have a thick toner image that the UV will not be able to pass through?

My system is Ubuntu 9.10 and my printer is HP 2600 Color laser jet.

Thank you,
Rares

It's in the printing settings, you can choose to use colors instead of black ink but why waste colors? Try using super high quality of printing, that way printer will use far more ink. So set it to 1200dpi or more (grayscale) and don't choose any ink saving options. It will print slower but maybe you get a more opaque line.

Thank you for the reply. I was hoping to be something in the CMYK decomposition of the image, say that a point needs 100% C, 100% M, 100% Y, 100% K.

I testes more methods and settings too. The image is Blank and White so I wanted something on/off all toners.
