When I try setting text to align right and then rotate it, it rotates around the middle of the text. I am confused by this behavior and expected the text to rotate around the end point.
Simply trying to adjust the resulting text position is also a huge problem because this text will eventually be internationalized and I don't know how long the final text will actually be. Regardless of the length of the text though, I know where I want it to end so I would like to set the anchor point for both the location and the rotation based on the end point of the text. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve this?

The rotation center can be set to the text anchor.

I would like to set the anchor point for both the location and the rotation based on the end point of the text. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve this?
As far as I know, the text anchors can only be changed by changing how the text is justified (right, left or center). But rotation is a separate thing, in Inkscape (as TD showed).
