It's as if Inkscape is unstable!
I've been losing files… and I had to do things over a number of times. So I wanna send the main file to a friend for safe-keeping. The artwork is for her eventually anyway. I wanna "save as"... (change the file type from SVG to PNG). This hasn't been happening before. It just started a while ago! A message comes up saying,
png GDK pisbuf Input
"Linked or embedded image: ( ) Embedded
( ) Linked
Embedded results in
stand-alone, larger SVG files.
Link references a file outside this SVG document
and all files must be moved together.
[Cancel] [OK]
I would like to save this SVG file as a PNG… but still have the SVG file.
Which option should I choose? Embedded or Linked?
Any help will be very much appreciated.
EMBEDDED VS LINKED!
Re: EMBEDDED VS LINKED!
Instead of saving as, export to png.
This way you can set a raster size of the png.
The save as (cairo) png option works with a fixed 72 dpi.
If you want to send the svg to someone then embed the raster images.
