I'm new to Inkscape and using it to design my new company's logo. I've leveraged many youtube videos to help me design a globe using the interpolate, traced the outside of the Western Hemisphere, and managed all the detail with stacked layers. I've been able to do some complex things fairly quickly but I'm still a new user and I'm stuck with a REALLY dump thing.
I'm looking to place a shine on my globe but I can't seem to get the circle to fill with a solid white color. In the bottom left corner the fill shows black and white checkers and then to the right it shows the fill option with I select from the color pallet. The stroke is solid and can be seen but the fill is transparent. I clicked on the circle object and looked at the fill/stroke properties and it shows 100% for Opacity. Lastly, this is on the top layer, top of all the objects, all other layers are locked, and so I'm clueless as what to I need to do next.
Thanks for the assistance all.
Cannot fill elipse
Re: Cannot fill elipse
Right click on the fill in the bottom left corner and select "Make fill opaque". Alternatively, in the Fill & Stroke dialogue, ensure that the "A" slider is all the way up to 255.
