Greetings,
After creating Inkscape (.svg) images, to transfer to a photo quality image at the local (Shutterbug) requires tranferring image from svg.>png. through gimp to get a final .jpg file.
To place an order for the images I want requires viewing on Shutterbugs in house monitor (same color as my monitor) the color is fine.
A visual example would be a cherry colored (between pink and red) shaped heart on the house monitor.
What I get in return is a an almost maroon colored heart.
The technicsian said my files are out of gamut and my colors couldn't be replicated.
The colors were fine on their in house monitor.
Is something happening between exportation that is creating computer color confusion?
Thank you in advance for reading my post.

Re: .svg>.png>.jpg out of gamut
I can't explain why the colors look ok on the monitor, but print a different color. But it may have something to do with Inkscape's RGB color model. Usually professional printing required CMYK color print model. Inkscape doesn't yet have native CMYK, but someone wrote an extension. Info in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5943. Hopefully your printer can handle either PDF or TIFF, since afaik, is all the extension can produce.
