Inkscape opening files which are already open in Inkscape
When I have a file open in Inkscape and then tell Inkscape to open the same file again, it does so without question whereas I think many other programs would refuse to open the same file twice. Is this intended behavior or an oversight?

I often find it useful... Some time ago, there was a discussion on the mailing list about this (and having tabs instead of windows, and more), but I think in the end, nothing became of it. You can make a bug report, if there isn't one - a warning would be nice (making it impossible would not be what I need...).
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
